PROGRAM HISTORY
In 1990, Ed "Coach Duke" Duclos, established the South Windsor Girls' Lacrosse League. Over the past 30 years, it has flourished into a comprehensive youth sports program that continues to support young female athletes from kindergarten through high school. With the support of dedicated volunteer coaches and parents, this program has laid the foundation for many young athletes and helped shape the girls' lacrosse presence here in South Windsor.
What began as a modest initiative, grew into a thriving girls' youth sports program for the South Windsor community. This league continues to be dedicated to nurturing the personal growth of young female athletes at every age and skill level. With a focus on fostering not only a love for lacrosse but also character development, leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship, the South Windsor Girls' Lacrosse program has become a cornerstone in the lives of local female athletes and stands as a testament to the transformative power of sports in shaping well-rounded individuals.
